Heather Alexander practices Civil Litigation and Family Law. Heather's civil practice is focused on resolving employment issues, unpaid accounts, contract disputes, professional negligence, and human rights claims while Heather's family practice focuses on resolving child support, custody, and access issues.
Heather has successfully advocated for clients in the Courts, before administrative boards and tribunals, and through the use of alternative dispute resolution techniques. Heather places a great value on client communication and recognizes that the legal system can be difficult for clients to understand. As such, she ensures that her clients are aware of their rights, responsibilities and options at each stage of a matter, and works efficiently and effectively to get each client the best result.
Heather obtained her J.D. from the University of Western Ontario in 2013 where she graduated in the top 10% of her class. Heather also holds a B.A. Honours in Cultural Anthropology and Master of Arts with a focus on immigration and identity from the University of Guelph. She is an active runner, mountain biker and musician, and supports local music and fine arts in the Brantford area and beyond.
