Cody French is an associate lawyer at Waterous Holden Amey Hitchon LLP, where he practises in the areas of corporate and commercial law, and wills and estates.
Cody earned a Bachelor of Arts in Law and Legal Studies, with a Minor in Political Science, from Carleton University in 2018, graduating with High Distinction. He then completed his law degree at York Law School in York, England, graduating with First Class Honours and placing among the top three students in his graduating class based on overall academic standing.
Following his legal studies in the United Kingdom, Cody completed a Master of Laws at Osgoode Hall Law School, where he maintained an exceptional academic record.
Cody completed his articles with Waterous Holden Amey Hitchon LLP and joined the firm as an associate in 2026.
Raised in Caledonia, Cody has deep roots in Haldimand County and now resides in Norfolk County. Outside the office, he has a longstanding passion for athletics. He grew up playing competitive sports, has coached minor hockey since 2022, and continues to play competitive soccer. He is also studying three languages with the goal of becoming fluent in each.
Having personally experienced the legal process as a client, Cody understands that legal matters can often feel unfamiliar and stressful. He is committed to providing clear, responsive, and practical legal advice while ensuring that clients feel informed, supported, and confident throughout the process.
