Corporate Legal Assistant
Position Description:
We are a full-service law firm of 19 lawyers with a full complement of support staff. Our Firm is seeking a legal assistant to support an expanding corporate practice. Primary duties will include the opening and maintaining of corporate files, preparation and editing of documents and scheduling meetings. Preference will be given to a candidate that has completed a university undergraduate degree. We are prepared to train the right candidate.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess superior technical and word processing skills, be self-motivated, have good attention to detail, be proactive, diligent, organized and have excellent interpersonal skills. The candidate will also have strong computer skills and exemplary learning capabilities, and the ability to work in a fast-paced professional environment.
Compensation
- Salary: $40,000–$57,500, commensurate with experience
Estate Planning Assistant

Firm Overview
Waterous Holden Amey Hitchon LLP is a well-established law firm providing comprehensive legal services, with a strong focus on estate planning and administration. We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Legal Assistant to support our estate planning practice. This is a new position for one of our partners.
Position Summary
The Legal Assistant will assist lawyers with the preparation, drafting, and organization of estate planning files. This role is well suited to an experienced legal assistant or a university-educated candidate with excellent proofreading and writing skills and a strong interest in drafting legal documents in a professional legal environment. Training is available for candidates without prior legal experience, provided they demonstrate superior writing ability and attention to detail.
Qualifications & Experience
- Previous experience as a legal assistant or legal administrative professional preferred
- University degree or post-secondary education considered an asset
- Strong interest in estate planning and drafting legal documents
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn new computer software
Compensation
- Salary: $40,000–$57,500, commensurate with experience
