Legal Assistant – Real Estate
Waterous Holden Amey Hitchon LLP is looking for motivated individuals to join their legal team for in-office positions. The positions are primarily focusing on residential real estate transactions. Although experience is an asset, we are willing to train the right candidate. Preference is given to candidates that have a diploma in a Legal Administration and/or Law Clerk program or a combination of education and industry experience.

Legal Assistant – Family Law
We are a full-service legal firm of 19 lawyers with a full complement of support staff. Our Firm is seeking a qualified Litigation Legal Assistant with work experience in family law to work for a Senior Family Law Partner. Preference will be given to a candidate that has completed a university undergraduate degree or has significant work experience in Family Law.
The successful candidate will have the ability to deal with complex and sensitive issues, have excellent communication skills and take a pro-active role in organizing and maintaining comprehensive Family Law files. They must be able to prepare legal documents (applications, affidavits, separation agreements etc.) from written, oral and dictated instructions and precedents. The successful candidate will also be able to prepare financial statements and net family property statements, draft routine correspondence on behalf of the lawyer, liaise with clients, opposing Counsel and Court staff.
The candidate will have strong computer skills and exemplary learning capabilities, and the ability to work in a fast-paced professional environment.
Salary commensurate with experience.
