Corporate Legal Assistant
Position Description:
We are a full-service law firm of 19 lawyers with a full complement of support staff. Our Firm is seeking a legal assistant to support an expanding corporate practice. Primary duties will include the opening and maintaining of corporate files, preparation and editing of documents and scheduling meetings. Preference will be given to a candidate that has completed a university undergraduate degree. We are prepared to train the right candidate.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess superior technical and word processing skills, be self-motivated, have good attention to detail, be proactive, diligent, organized and have excellent interpersonal skills. The candidate will also have strong computer skills and exemplary learning capabilities, and the ability to work in a fast-paced professional environment.
Compensation
- Salary: $40,000–$57,500, commensurate with experience
Litigation Legal Assistant
Position Description:
We are a full-service legal firm of 19 lawyers with a full complement of support staff. Our Firm is seeking a qualified Litigation Legal Assistant. Preference will be given to a candidate that has completed a university undergraduate degree, or related experience. We are prepared to train the right candidate.
Qualifications:
The selected candidate will have the ability to deal with complex and sensitive issues, have excellent communication skills, take a pro-active role in organizing and maintaining comprehensive litigation files, assist with the drafting of correspondence, preparation of affidavits of documents, pre-trial briefs, and other administrative tasks related to the management of litigation files. The candidate will also have strong computer skills and exemplary learning capabilities, and the ability to work in a fast-paced professional environment.
Compensation
Salary $40,000–$57,500, commensurate with experience.
