Andrew Allan Nicholls (April 16, 1981 – February 5, 2025)
It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we at Waterous Holden Amey Hitchon LLP share the news of the passing of our dear colleague and friend, Andrew Allan Nicholls, who died on Wednesday, February 5, 2025, at the age of 43, surrounded by his loving family.
Andrew was a valued partner at our firm, where he practiced Family Law with steadfast dedication, compassion, and integrity for 17 years. His intellect, professionalism, and care for clients left a lasting impression on everyone who had the privilege of working with him. He approached every case with fairness, diligence, and a strong sense of justice, qualities that made him not only an exceptional lawyer but also a trusted advisor and friend to many.
Outside the courtroom, Andrew was known for his quick wit, thoughtful insights, and larger-than-life personality. He was the soul of many gatherings, a passionate debater, and a cherished mentor to younger lawyers. His ability to connect with people, make them laugh, and bring out the best in others was a rare and treasured gift.
We extend our deepest condolences to his beloved wife Heather, his mother Margaret, his sister Alison, and all members of the Nicholls and Dobbin families. Andrew’s absence will be profoundly felt in the halls of our firm and in the hearts of all who knew him.
Andrew, thank you for your friendship, your brilliance, and your unwavering spirit. You will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
