Office Administrator
Position Description:
We are a full-service law firm of 19 lawyers with a full complement of support staff. Our Firm is seeking a highly organized, solution focused and proactive Office Administrator to join our team.
Reporting to the Managing Partner, the Office Administrator assists in managing daily office operations to ensure the office runs smoothly by managing supplies, facilities and various administrative tasks. The Office Administrator will directly supervise and support the administrative team along with various committees within the firm, including health & safety. The position will be responsible for human resources functions including payroll support, onboarding new employees and maintaining employee file records. The Office Administrator acts as the primary liaison between the management committee, interoffice departments and external services. Preference will be given to a candidate with previous experience in a legal office and/or a university degree in a related field.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have proven office administration experience with the desire to work onsite in a team environment. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to direct and mentor a team of administrative professionals. They will possess exceptional organizational, time management and interpersonal communication skills along with proficiency in office tools and software. The successful candidate will have excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills, ensuring accuracy in administrative tasks and the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
Salary commensurate with experience.
Corporate Legal Assistant
Position Description:
We are a full-service law firm of 18 lawyers with a full complement of support staff. Our Firm is seeking a legal assistant to support an expanding corporate practice. Primary duties will include the opening and maintaining of corporate files, preparation and editing of documents and scheduling meetings. Preference will be given to a candidate that has completed a university undergraduate degree. We are prepared to train the right candidate.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess superior technical and word processing skills, be self-motivated, have good attention to detail, be proactive, diligent, organized and have excellent interpersonal skills. The candidate will also have strong computer skills and exemplary learning capabilities, and the ability to work in a fast-paced professional environment.

Family Law Legal Assistant
Position Description
We are a full-service legal firm of 19 lawyers with a full complement of support staff. Our Firm is seeking a qualified Litigation Legal Assistant with work experience in family law. Preference will be given to a candidate that has completed a university undergraduate degree, a diploma or has work experience in family law.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will have the ability to deal with complex and sensitive issues, have excellent communication skills and take a proactive role in organizing and maintaining comprehensive family law files. They must be able to prepare legal documents (applications, affidavits, separation agreements etc.) from written, oral and dictated instructions and precedents. The successful candidate will also be able to prepare financial statements and net family property statements, draft routine correspondence on behalf of the lawyer, liaise with clients, opposing counsel and court staff.
The candidate will have strong computer skills and exemplary learning capabilities, and the ability to work in a fast-paced professional environment.
